We believe in an integrative approach to patient care which separates us from other pharmacies. We work with you, your attorney, and your physician to ensure that you receive the proper treatment and quality care you deserve. Our facility specializes in offering topical pain treatments to ease the pain and discomfort from injuries sustained while on the job. Common oral medications prescribed for the management of acute or chronic pain include narcotics, muscle relaxants, NSAIDs, etc. These medications may be effective in treating pain but challenges are often seen in long-term use of these medications which are listed in the table below. Due to the abuse of opioids, there has been an increase in regulatory efforts to limit prescribing oral opioids. Healthcare providers are more cautious about prescribing these types of painkillers & are looking for alternatives to treat this type of pain. Compounded transdermal pain medication offers an alternative to oral painkillers to reduce concerns of patient abuse as well as prescriber liability. The below table lists some of the potential benefits of choosing a compounded pain medication to treat acute or chronic pain.
